Featured Candidate: Vance Dennis
by Mike Huckabee

I am proud to endorse Vance Dennis for the Tennessee House of Representatives for District 71. Vance is a native of Hardin County and is a practicing Attorney. Vance believes that the people of District 71 need a representative with the ability and tenacity to fight for the common-sense, conservative values that the people of Decatur, Hardin and McNairy Counties hold dear.

Vance Dennis has pledged not to raise taxes and he will be a strong voice against a state income tax. He also advocates the return of excess tax collections by means of a reduction or elimination of the sales tax on food. Vance is pro-life and supports SJR 127, a proposed constitutional amendment that would allow our legislature to place reasonable restrictions on abortions performed in Tennessee. Vance Dennis says “Eight years ago, our state Supreme Court decided that the Tennessee Constitution does not allow us to place any restrictions upon abortion, including partial-birth abortion, which means that we are one of the most liberal states in the nation in regards to abortion. That is why I support a constitutional amendment that would overturn our Supreme Court’s decision and allow Tennesseans to adopt common-sense regulations on abortion, such as waiting periods and counseling.”
